PT-52 BOV Undercup Crimper with Pre-Gassing Function

The PT-52 BOV is a semi-automatic machine designed for crimping Bag-On-Valve (BOV) valves while simultaneously pre-gassing the container – injecting a controlled amount of air or other gas before the product is filled. The machine achieves an output of up to 20 valves per minute, depending on container size, target pressure, and operator experience.

It is used in small-scale production, laboratories, and pilot lines. The device features an interchangeable pre-gassing and crimping head, with adjustable crimping parameters and gas volume to match the required process specifications.

The target pressure of the injected gas is set via the Siemens LOGO! control panel. The unit is equipped with the integrated PresSure™ monitoring system, which measures the internal pressure during the pre-gassing cycle. The head completes the cycle only when the pressure in the container reaches the set value. Real-time pressure readings are shown on the control screen.

The cycle is initiated by foot pedal or two-hand push buttons. The head position and crimping parameters are adjustable. After the cycle is completed, the head automatically returns to its initial position.

To ensure proper operation and consistent crimping quality, we recommend equipping the station with a crimp parameter measuring kit.

The PT-52 PET is a semi-automatic machine designed for pre-gassing and external crimping of valves onto PET bottles using Bag-On-Valve (BOV) technology. Unlike the standard version for aerosol cans, this model is equipped with an external crimping head adapted to the geometry of PET bottles. The pre-gassing process involves injecting a controlled amount of air or other gas into the bottle before it is filled with product. The machine achieves an output of up to 20 valves per minute – depending on bottle size, target pressure, and operator experience.

The device is used in small-scale production, laboratories, and pilot lines. It features an interchangeable pre-gassing and crimping head, and both crimping parameters and the gas volume can be easily adjusted to meet process specifications.

The desired gas volume is set directly via the Siemens LOGO! control panel. The module includes an integrated pressure monitoring system, PresSure™, which measures the internal pressure during each pre-gassing cycle. The head completes the cycle only when the pressure in the bottle reaches the defined value. Real-time pressure readings are displayed on the control panel.
